FAQ

We know it can be tough to find the right provider for yourself while navigating life with a newborn! In the hopes of making it a little easier for you, we’ve gathered our most frequently asked questions in one place.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not much! Bring yourself and your baby of course, and then anything else you feel like you might need support with, such as your pump and pump parts. You can bring your own breastfeeding pillow if you’d like guidance with it, but we also have some in the office to practice with as well.

  • You may bring one support person with you to your appointment.

  • It depends! Generally speaking, most of our clients come 4-6 times to resolve any issues, but it varies; some come only once and some more than a dozen times!

You can be sure we’ll recommend only the number of visits we think is best for you, but you’re in the driver’s seat–trust your gut! If you feel like coming back in, just let us know. We’re always happy to see you.

  • You can learn more on our main Services page, but as far as timing goes, an initial appointment is 90 minutes long, and follow up appointments are usually an hour.

  • Unlike other providers 👀, Lollies Lactation provides FREE ongoing support via text after your initial visit.

We know what it’s like to be lying in bed at midnight wondering if your nipple pain is “normal,” or to be staring blankly into the freezer at 5am wondering if your stored breastmilk is expired, so we make sure to follow up with you asap to get you some answers.

  • We accept all major credit cards.

We also currently accept Venmo, but that might change in the future! Please double check with us if you need to use Venmo.

  • Yes! We don’t want needing additional childcare to be a barrier to you getting the help you need. Our office has a small play corner with toys perfect for older siblings.

  • I encouraged my first child, Wolf, to ask for La-las when he wanted to breastfeed. He quickly changed that to Lollies and my breast, and breastfeeding in general, will always be called Lollies now.
